This 1995 300CE 24v is an impressive car. The straight-six engine red-lines at 7000rpm, and its suspension is stiffer than most standard Mercs and the tyres are Pirelli P-Zero 235/45x17" so lots of grip. Although a heavy car, never once did she show a sign of letting go - probably would have gone much faster if we'd dared. Timed laps at 1:40 and 1:39 over the track of 1.96 miles, this represents an average of approx. 71mph. |
