Taking the first step is daunting, and there’s lots to learn, even if you buy decent software. So I can cut through the techie stuff and translate your conventional materials (like your printed brochure) and turn it into an attractive and interesting website.
Your audience may be fairly local, so promotion to the entire world may be a bit over-the-top, but offering your customers an insight into your business (and a way to contact you) 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, is a simple but radical way to improve your service and image.
Your competition probably already has a website, so you ought to stay with them, but many first attempts are actually pretty grubby and do not much improve their image. You could have better, and stay ahead.

You will have a complete, professional, and attractive website the way you want it, with pretty much unlimited content. If you have a style or clear ideas about design, your site will be structured accordingly; otherwise I will suggest a structure based on your existing style.
I will recommend and setup for you (unless you prefer to do this, because fees have to be paid to third parties) a domain name, an ISP (Internet Service Provider) to host your site, and an appropriate amount of storage space.

Search engine submissions – basic automated free-site submission done by me @ £50 – but there is an increasing trend towards paid submissions which may or may not be justified for your site.
I will need all the access passwords to do the job, but these and all the code and data produced will belong to you and will be kept in a form which could be easily delivered to you if and when you wish to move on.
Why indeed such a silly name? Well, it’s more characterful than most.

To give a benchmark, the Llais-yr-Awel website which is a 10-page site, took me 4 days, start-to-finish. I would have charged £600 for that. To put that in context, I have just paid nearly that sum for an MOT and service on our family car.
I will always need to charge 20% of the estimate up-front, just to ensure that we are all serious about the commitment, but for a small site I am open to negotiating an easy-payment schedule over, say, 12 months.
